Sea salt spray and OOTD

Today is a bits and bobs blog. What I mean is, it started as a rave about salt spray and its benefits; but slowly unravelled into a whole FOTD, OOTD, Salt Spray cocktail of fun.

First things first... SALT SPRAY! I use Phil Smith 'Life's a Beach' spray which I love because it saves effort in this weather. I know there's loads of types of salt spray out there in the world so I'm sure you can find one to work for you! Also, I really struggle because my hair doesn't really do anything, one of those awkward neither straight nor curly barnets, so I would recommend if you fall into this category!

Here's a picture to prove it. I like the naturalness of it really, I know it's not as polished as some would like and arguably very frizzy but honestly it's a laziness thing more than anything!

Point two! OOTD!

Today I am wearing a £4 blouse from Tesco!

It is tucked into a £6 primark skirt... Proper bargain outfit today ladies and gentlemen.

All topped off with a pair of converse that cost 4 and a half times the top and skirt put together. Totes worth it though.

Finally, here is my make up look of the day!

Ooh I'm such a poser haha.

On my eyes I have used my Stila 'In the light' pallet. For my lips I have Max Factor Ruby Tuesday. On my cheeks I have a nude Estée Lauder shade. I'm using Rimmel Glam Eyes liquid black eyeliner and maybelline the falsies mascara.

For my foundation you'll have to wait and see for on my next blog post as it's an underdog and a shocker (well I'm shocked).

That's it really!

Here is a traditional welsh lady for no reason whatsoever.

I've added more things to my beauty regime...

I need to stop. It's like an addiction! I keep adding things to my shower/ beauty regime JUST BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE DO IT. These things don't really improve my quality of life, rather, make it worse because it takes time from things I actually need to do. If you are like me, then I apologise in advance because I am about to talk about something I have started doing...

Shaving my arms.

Okay, I don't know if this makes me normal or not. Where I'm from, girls don't tend to shave their arms (especially girls with naturally blonde hair like myself). I have fair arm hairs, it really isn't necessary for me to do this and I know it; but I STILL do it! Don't get me wrong, I've been on the general shaving bandwagon for quite a lot of years now, I haven't just discovered razors like... But arm shaving? I kinda like it though I have to admit. I'm waiting patiently for the day someone tells me how beautifully smooth my arms are. A girl can dream, right?

Let me know if you think I'm crazy, or if you do it too! I'm sorry if you're now intently looking at the hairs on your arms. I did the same when someone told me about it.

That's it really!

Shortly after this was taken I rode on the back of an American pick up truck while sat on a quad bike. So rock and roll.

No Make Up Days

Why hello there, fancy seeing you here! I have been thinking a little bit lately about my love of make up and beauty products; but I was also thinking about how incredible (in theory, this is what I'm blaming it on anyway) my skin would be without so many of them! You may know that I did Camp America last summer and I barely wore make up at all for just over three months. I wore suncream every day and BB Cream if we were going somewhere out of camp!

I am going to challenge myself to try and have as many foundation free days as I can throughout the month of July for the sake of this blog (at least one or two a week), and over the whole summer as a personal thing. Now I will share some no make up photos with you... Be prepared, some of these images may be shocking!

If you are reading this and are now wondering what your face would be like with a little less effort this summer, comment below and we can do it together for moral support! I will post updates with photos on whether my skin improves or not... Fingers crossed!

This is me right now as I am writing this post! I have a beautiful third eye in between my eyebrows and my skin is clean and exfoliated but it doesn't feel fresh.

Some of the time just mascara was enough, I don't know why I am so obsessed with make up all the time at home in the UK

Shopping on the interweb

Although I rarely have the money for it because my car eats money, I on occasion enjoy having a little moocharoo 'on the line' as many an old person would say. There are many magical places that this can take place, but I often would go on the websites of the stores I can get to in my local big town or city. HOWEVER, I have more recently realised that I can use the internet to my advantage in finding my dream outfit! Kind of like having a personal shopper that doesn't care that you're in your onesie with no make up on and a homemade face mask. Or eating chocolate spread out the jar.

This ladies is now all taken care of via the internet, something which for many (me included) is needed as much as Oxygen and H2O. This sounds like I have only just discovered internet shopping, which would make me a complete idiot and you might be questioning my age about now. THIS IS NOT THE CASE.

A few months ago I discovered a little website called 'shopstyle' which has CHANGED MY LIFE. No joke. Sometimes I want to look for something really obscure (like a dress covered in lemons for example- this is actually true) or specific but I can't be bothered to flick through every shop, because when it comes to online shopping do you ever find that you forget certain shops exist? Okay here is a few screen shots of me searching for something on it so you get the idea...

I might have told a bit of a porky here, well not exactly, this is how I found the dress but House of Fraser don't sell it anymore to my knowledge...
This dress was £28 and it is by Izabel London at House of Fraser

When life gives you lemons... WEAR THEM.

My face when I found the dress!

Just wanted to share my knowledge with the world to make buying things even easier than it already is!

That's it really!

Some chick doing it better than me... This was my inspiration for the dress, seen on www.laurenconrad.com, skirt is from Alice + Olivia.

The Guilty Pleasures Tag

Right, I have never made a tag post before so I am neither expecting this to be good or successful... Also, I am not claiming that I coined the phrase 'guilty pleasure' and I expect there are tag posts that have similar questions. HOWEVER, I feel like the best way to get these guilty pleasures off my chest, is to subtly force the blogging nation to do it too and we can all feel guilty and pleasure-y together. It will be like a warm virtual hug.

I'm not a big fan of rules but we gotta keep the Riff Raff out somehow...

1. You must name it 'The Guilty Pleasures Tag' so we all know what is happening and the blog reading community don't feel swizzed out of anything.
2. You must tag at least one person at the bottom and as a comment on one of their posts with a link to this post in the comment
3. You must not try and be cool. The aim of this is to have fun!
4. If you could, copy and paste these rules at the top
5. Leave a link to my blog page.

That's all I ask! Now, I am going to tag everyone who reads this to do one, and a few specific people at the bottom! HUZZAH!

1. What is your beauty guilty pleasure (you can choose for this one whether to pick something which you love but you feel guilty as it is expensive, OR maybe a beauty look that isn't necessarily 'on trend' e.g. Taylor Swift Teardrops on My Guitar face diamonds)

My beauty guilty pleasure has to be MAC lipsticks. Oh my God I love them, and I really wish I didn't! I try and play it cool like 'yeah they're alright' but there's something about the smell and feel of them, and the noise they make when they close. All that for a low low price of £14. F**k.

2. What is your TV guilty pleasure?

Gossip Girl. Every time. I don't know why I get so embarrassed that I like Gossip Girl, but I really love it haha.

3. What is your music guilty pleasure?

Anybody who knows me well will probably tell you I am a bit of a music snob. Although, anybody who was in school with me will know I have been into some weird stuff in my time. I have far too many guilty pleasures that are a little bit mainstream such as one direction, talyor swift etc. but my main guilty pleasure music wise which only a few people know about is Celine Dion. Oh my god I love her. I love her I love her I love her.

4. What is your film guilty pleasure?

I love the Harry Potter films and books but I am not guilty about that at all so I guess I am gonna have to say Twilight. The first one specifically. I agree that they get progressively worse, and in the last one my friend and I sat in the cinema drunk from sex on the beach and heckling because it was just so embarrassing. I understand this may offend many people, but I am also saying how much I love it in the same breath so let's all just think about that for a second.

5. What is your food guilty pleasure? (Maybe something you love that nobody else does, or perhaps something you feel guilty about eating because of the calorie amount. Either one, we're not fussy here.)

Brown toast with butter, peanut butter and nutella on. Right, this is like sex mixed with snickers on bread. That good. It's unconventional and a lotta lotta calories so I save it for special occasions like hangovers and that. Sounds weird? Try it my friend, you will not regret it!

6. What is your guilty pleasure read? (Let's keep this PG people, no 50 shades discussions)

Trashy magazines. Not even the celebrity ones about boob jobs and diets, I mean like the bottom of the heap non glossy 45p ones that have real life stories about people having babies with their twin brother and stuff. I don't know why I love them so much! This is someone who reads the Guardian and anything by Hadley Freeman. These magazines feed the trashy part of my soul. Well I am a Libra, life's about balance.

7. Your guilty pleasure celebrity? (Seems obscure but roll with it)

Kim Kardashian, and anyone with the name Kardashian attached to it. She's just so glam and her life is crazy I love it.

8. Your guilty pleasure? (Something random here, like maybe you enjoy clipping your nails out the window or something)

Karaoke! It is kind of a tradition in our family that we do karaoke, no idea why but that's how it's always been. I always thought I had escaped the need to do it, until I was about 16. ABBA spoke to me and I just had to do it. Luckily I have supportive friends who also enjoy singing ABBA every now and again with me. It is rare but when it happens it's great. I rapped 'Without Me' Eminem once.

That's all the questions I could think of, let me know if you thought this was good or sucky in the comments, just try not to make me cry. That is all I ask.

Summer Wishlist 2013!

Although many days (like today) may not look like it; summer is finally here in the UK! Like the start of any season, I find myself searching the internet for things I would love to have for the upcoming season. Hopefully before the season is out I will have purchased a few of these lovely items I am going to share with you. I have sectioned them into categories, kind of like when people do 'favourites' posts, the only difference is I actually don't own the items. *cry* LET'S DO THIS.

Número uno... (1)
BEAUTY!

Going from left to right, here are my beauty picks for summer:

Top- Bourjois So Laque Glossy Nail Enamel in shade 04 Amande Defile, Stila Eyeshadow in Compact Cloud, MAC Lipstick in Candy Yum Yum
Bottom- Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Definer, Benefit Fine One One Cheek Colour, Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau so Fresh

All of these products look so lovely! I really like the idea of Benefit Fine One One, it looks so easy to use and the colours are really good too I think. Also, although I love using liquid eyeliner, I feel like the Rimmel exaggerate eyeliner will give a softer and smokier eyeline as  it is cream based, which will make it easy to blend (IN THEORY). I adore all of the Marc Jacobs scents, and I recently smelled the new Daisy in Debenhams and I truly believe I need it in my life as soon as possible! I LOVE stila eyeshadows, and I own two Stila palletes which I really enjoy using, some people find them awkward to use because they're really powdery, but once you get past that I think the eyeshadows give an incredible pigment with the right amount of shimmer. I just really like the colour of the Bourjois nail polish, I understand that a lot of companies do that kind of mint green shade, but I could only pick one so that is what I chose.

Nummer zwei... (2)

FASHION!

I'm going to do three high end and three high street, this is a wishlist after all...

Top- Valley Girl T-Shirt from Wildfox, Madameoiselle Tara cute bow dress, The Cambridge Satchel Company Chelsea Bag in Honeysuckle
Bottom- River Island Cream Floral Cut out Playsuit, New Look Limited Gladiator Sandals in White, Stone Flower Rope Bracelet from Topshop.

It seems like I have a bit of an obsession with white, maybe I do, it's just there's nothing more pretty in summer than clean white clothes on a tan (I don't ever tan but I still love white in the summer, keeps me cool). I love that Valley Girl top from Wildfox, I know it's meant for the American Belair Princesses, but being someone who lives in a valley in North Wales, I personally find it quite funny! It's pink too which is an added bonus! I kind of think most of these items go together too which is nice, although I doubt I will get all of them as combined it is about £500 of stuff! I got stuff to pay for man...

Rhif tri... (3)

RANDOM!

Top- Tumblers with a straw (This one is from The Disney Store), Sunflowers EVERYWHERE, This is 40 on DVD
Bottom- Macaroons, The New Beetle Cabriolet in light blue, The smells of lemons!

All of these things make me very happy! Well I think, I haven't seen This is 40 yet but I have heard it is very funny so I can't wait to see it!

That's it really!

This is my pet unicorn (the green one). He's called bollock.

50 Facts about Me!

When Alex (justmylittlelifeandme.blogspot.co.uk) and I were talking about doing this after seeing Louise from A Sprinkle of Glitter do a YouTube video about it, it seemed a lot easier than it actually is! I will be lucky if I finish this because at the moment I can't think of anything interesting about me, well here it goes, wish me luck...

1. My favourite colour is yellow
2. I went to an all girls school
3. I'm really weird about the feels of things, I either love it or I hate it! I used to love the feel of silk when I was a child (in particular silk dressing gowns); so much so that when I went on holiday when I was about three, my Mum had to get a pair of silk knickers and cut them up so I could take them on the plane.
4. I love to travel, and in the past 12 months I have been on a plane ten times.
5. I did Camp America last summer and lived in Pennsylvania for 3 months.
6. I've recently joined the 'tidy bedroom crew' (basically people who keep their room tidy, if I would have been writing this six months ago, it would be quite the opposite).
7. I absolutely love Instagram, because it's quite hard for people to moan on it, and I love photos.
8. I am an only child (for now, my Mum is expecting another baby girl!!)
9. I'm an avid reader, and could read before I went to school which helped me enormously!
10. I pretty much always wear odd socks, life's too short! However, I'm picky about the types of socks I pair up, I would NEVER wear an ankle sock with a trainer sock... I have standards you know.
11. I think I might be dyspraxic, if you ask anyone who has been around me for longer than about an hour they will tell you I am the most clumsy, disorientated and unaware person ever. No joke.
12. I am a natural blonde, but have had my hair many colours (most of which I regret greatly).
13. I'm a teeny bit obsessed with Harry Potter and reference it most days.
14. I can speak some Welsh, because I am from Wales.
15. Most of my friends are girls, partially because I went to an all girls school, and partially because I just like hanging out with girls and talking about like make up and stuff...
16. I have a tendency to bring the most average of conversations to some deep and meaningful conversation that reflects on life. I'm so cool.
17. I wouldn't say I have a particular style when it comes to clothes, I just wear whatever I like the look of and it changes daily.
18. I have a Bichon Frise called Buddy and he is the one thing that can cheer me up instantly by just being there.
19. I did a year at uni and have decided to change course starting September, which I'm really excited about.
20. I really want to go to Rio de Janeiro, Sydney and New Delhi!
21. I went to Boston for a week on my own and lived in a house there.
22. I love canoeing after doing my silver Duke of Edinburgh award expedition by canoe.
23. Volunteering is something I'm really passionate about, and I have volunteered for the NSPCC for almost two years.
24. I'm afraid of commitment.
25. I did ballet lessons for 10 years and have my own pointe shoes!
26. I have incredibly clever friends, and we all used to get a bit competitive going through school... Geeks are cool guys, represent!
27. One of my favourite books is 'The Secret' because it stresses the importance of positive thinking, which is something I really like the idea of and try to incorporate in my life!
28. I love having a TV series to watch, some of my favourites include 'The Big Bang Theory', 'Gossip Girl', '2 Broke Girls', 'Ugly Betty' and 'Glee'.
29. I have a tattoo of a heart on my hip which was completely spontaneous with a friend of mine at a tattoo convention! She got hers on her ass!
30. I love the 'fresh linen' scent and have a plug in in my bedroom that smells like it, and a Yankee candle that smells like it too!
31. Music makes me happy and I listen to music every single day.
32. I've lived in 8 houses in 19 years.
33. My Birthday is on 06/10 and my Mum's is on the 10/06.
34. My favourite non alcoholic drink is fanta, and my favourite alcoholic drink is sex on the beach.
35. I'm allergic to penicillin and I'm intolerant to ginger!
36. I hate iPhone games like candy crush and angry birds, and I hate it even more when people see me requests to play them!
37. I took the Myers Briggs personality type test and I am an ENFP, which I think fits me really well!
38. I'm really interested in people and their lives, and probably ask too many questions!
39. I talk a lot and always have, my school reports all the way through have always been glowing, but then they would say 'Keeley is a really good student and is good at both talking and doing her work, but she seems to forget other students can not do this.'
40. One of my biggest fears is getting stuck in a rut.
41. I love to write, and have always dreamed of writing my own books, which is why blogging is perfect for me as I get to write a lot!
42. I'm really grateful for my life, I'm not rich or the best looking or talented in a particular field, but I'm really happy and I wouldn't change anything, if I do want to change something then I will go ahead and do it!
43. I will have a pilot's licence one day.
44. I love giraffes, they're my favourite animal.
45. I've seen all the episodes of friends at least twice!
46. I often get the feeling that I will end up being exactly like Bridget Jones, although maybe without the sexy guys fighting over me.
47. I like dogs more than people.
48. I despise cats, and will tell my friends if I don't like their cat because it really annoys me when people are like "I hate cats" and then go round pretending to like their friends' cats... This is how serious my hatred of them is.
49. I'm scared of jellyfish, spiders, wasps, flies,p and most other bugs.
50. I'm a sucker for keeping things for the memories, I have a load of train tickets and similar things that needn't be kept 'just because'.

That's it really!

Personalising My Life!

I am well and truly on the bandwagon of having a well put together bedroom, however after my room was decorated all 'matchy matchy' I felt like it looked a bit like a show room as opposed to MY room. Although I love it when people put effort into having a perfect looking room, I feel that it is important to have some personal touches to make you feel at home too. I have come up (I say 'come up' like I invented the things I am about to talk about, I didn't but hey) with some cheaper ways than buying priceless pieces of art to make you feel like your bedroom is truly YOURS (although actually, having priceless pieces of art in my room would make me feel a little nauseous and on edge). I am going to apologise for the picture quality in advance, I am taking these photos on an iPhone 4S because I don't have a fancy camera and it's easy to get my photos up using it!

Having a few things like pretty magazines and books on display can make a room look polished and lived in at the same time- I'm not personally into lots of clutter, but at the same time I don't want too many empty surfaces! This is cheap because you can literally use what you already have!
I keep my Lauren Conrad Beauty Book on top because I feel like it inspires me! Geeky but true...
FUNCTIONAL AND PRETTY?? This is awesome because it holds my jewellery, looks pretty and is hung on the wall so I don't need to have something to put it on... Like the thinking behind this!
I am an absolute sucker for cheesy quotes, it's terrible but I can't help it! My Dad bought me this and it looks lovely too which is a bonus!
Having photos of your family can make a room more homely, and frames like this can be bought really cheaply at places like Matalan or Home Bargains! I used old photos because I don't have any recent ones printed now we live in the Facebook generation where nobody prints photos!
This is a really small 8x10 frame and it was around 50p in IKEA when I bought it, I just filled it with photos that are small but have a stupid amount of background that isn't really needed.
More photoframes, pretty self explanatory! The middle frame has a Welsh flag in it because I'm Welsh!
This is something I'm quite proud of to be honest... You can buy fancy cork boards now, or you can get a nice large photo frame, take the glass out and add cork instead to pin things to! I have a high school memory box, but I wanted things on display so I pinned a few of my favourite things up on here and arranged it to look pretty!
Again on the theme of having memory frames, some things I love that much I wanted them up all the time so I just put them in photo frames (all of which are from IKEA)
I did Camp America last year, so these two memory frames are little tokens from doing that! All of them are white because while I wanted things to look different, I wanted to keep to the theme of my room and white is easy to match frames to rather than a certain shade of wood etc.
Add quirky things to your room to remind you it is cool to be weird! (Right????)

I think this wire heart is meant for photos or like messages, but I use it to keep pretty things on, such as my old ballet pointe shoes, and other little bits and bobs that look nice!

That's it really.

If all else fails... Put a Bichon Frise on your bed, you'll feel right at home

The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag

Rules:

1. You must copy and paste these 'rules' onto your post when you write it, it doesn't take long!.
2. You must state that this tag was created by 'The Beau Bow' and link www.thebeaubow.blogspot.com
3. You must thank the person who tagged you at the start of your post (link their blog as well) - follow them if you're feeling nice!, and then at the end of your post state who you tag, and then comment on their blog on their latest post to let them know you tagged them, and link your post so they can see what to do.
4. Title this post 'The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger TAG' so everyone knows what it is about.
5. Have fun!

Nobody actually tagged me in this, but it looked fun so I thought I would give it a go!

1.  Name a beauty regime that you rarely do?

FAKE TAN. I am a rather pale person and it used to really bother me, especially when my friends would come up to me in the summertime and compare tans with me and laugh. As I have gotten a bit older, I don't really mind being pale so much because it's me I guess. Also, I have to be honest, I am really bad at applying fake tan, so when I do apply it I look horrendous! I have learnt from my mistakes and am learning to love my skin for what it is!

Some say you're not a woman until you've had a beauty disaster... I've had loads so I must be really womanly!

2.  Is washing your make-up brushes something that you do regularly?

I don't really have a lot of make up brushes, I just about have one for each purpose I guess so I am more of a fan of spot cleaning my brushes as opposed to fully washing with them in shampoo! I wash my foundation brush a lot, but I tend to just clean eyeshadow brushes quickly after use or between colours.

3.  How long will you last with chipped nail polish?

AHHHHH I hate it!! When I was younger I would just leave it on until the end like a trooper, but now I'm getting old and naggy so I will either have a gel manicure or just plain filed nails now because it does my head in!

4.  How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty product, even if you need it?

That completely depends on how expensive the product is, and how much money I have at the time! I mean, obvious stuff like mascara or foundation and essential items I usually buy in advance like in the last third of their life, but stuff like eyeshadow or bronzer I just get it when I can.

5. What is your worst beauty habit?

Going over any mistakes or smudges with concealer or foundation! If i get mascara on my face or eyeshadow fall out, I will try and wipe it away, but if all else fails I will just cover it up with make up... I'm not gonna waste the effort I've put in and start again, I got things to do!! Here's an example...

Oh snap I got eyeliner on my face... Hmm what should I do?!?!

COVER IT WITH CONCEALER! GENIUS!

6.  Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?

Ironing. Oh man if it can't be decreased quickly with a hair straightener (another bad habit of mine) then I am not wearing it! Sometimes (once in a blue moon) I will go on a little spree, but I just hate it and don't really feel the need to go obsessive with ironed clothes, LIFE'S TOO SHORT.

7.  When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute?

YES. Unless it's work, which I have to be on time for and happily do so, my friends will tell you I am late for EVERYTHING. Now, Alex from http://justmylittlelifeandme.blogspot.co.uk/ is my best friend, and she will tell you that I am a terrible daydreamer when getting ready. She does everything like a military operation, but apparently I am far too busy contemplating life to get ready on time. I wouldn't mind if I was actually doing other things... Oh well.

8.  Can you commit to spending bans?

Yes, if I have to. When I was a bit younger and had less to pay for (the good old days) I was worse than I am now for buying useless things, but now I kind of have to stop buying things just because they're sparkly. Sad times.

9.  How organised is your make-up and nail polish collections?

I have gone through phases of organisation; from having seperate eyes, lips, face storage to general make up bags. At the moment I have my everyday items and all my brushes at my make up station, and everything else in a chintzy chest of drawers.

This is where I keep my everyday make up things so I know where it all is!

Things to apply substances to my face with...

To save having a bulky vanity, I have a make up station because I like standing to do my make up anyway!

In here I keep all kinds of other stuff: palletes and other make up/ beauty stuff in the top drawer,  hair stuff like straighteners etc in the middle, and other nik naks in the bottom like my pencilcase and notebooks.

That's it really.

Five Beauty Products that have Made my Life a little bit more Beautiful... ahem.

Although I wish I didn't, I absolutely adore make up. It's a fun and creative way of making everyday different (however, I have to admit, I usually go for the same things each day, although if I am feeling bold I will go for a slightly different shade of gold eyeshadow). Here are some lovely products I am currently using that I feel need sharing with the world. Having said this, these products may make your face look more like mine... use with caution.

1. Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive (Transparent)

Okay, I have taken these pictures myself of my own products, sorry if the make up packaging doesn't look perfect, I am not exactly what you would call 'careful'
This lash glue is awesome because it is easy to use even by idiots like myself. It makes the whole sticking eyelashes to one's face experience a lot less painful! Also, it shows up a blue colour first and when it is ready to apply it is clear which is great! I have tried a whole load of eyelash glues because I really struggle with it and I feel this product has helped me on my way to having beautiful fluttering eyelashes.

2. Maybelline 'The Falsies' Volume Express Flared Mascara

I personally like a mascara that has an old school brush made from bristles and not plastic... Just me? Oh well.
I had heard all the raving about 'The Falsies' mascara all over blogs and from various youtubers too so I was really eager to try it, but I made myself use up the mascara I had first because I am good like that (yeah, right). There is a whole variety of options with these mascaras, I went for one that kind of matched the look I wanted to achieve. I personally have winged out eyeliner most days and prefer my eyelashes flared over other looks, but everyone is different I guess. I haven't personally tried any of the others from the range, partially because I like this one so much, and also because I'm trying to stop myself spending so much money on make up (it really is a problem).

3. Max Factor 'Colour Elixir' in 715- Ruby Tuesday

I personally believe there is no bad mood a bit of red lipstick and a pair of 6 inch heels can't sass it's way out of.
Red lipstick. One of the many loves in my life (not like that!!) and this particular lipstick is incredible. I am an owner of many a red lipstick (arguably too many), but I really do think that there's something about it which changes how you are around people and the way you hold yourself. I have blonde hair currently which it looks lovely with in my opinion (both me and my mum use it), but I did have darker, ombre hair for a while and it looked nice with that too. It is really soft on the lips which is amazing because many dark lipsticks can feel really harsh and dry on my lips, I don't know if anybody else gets that? Anyway, it lasts a long time and it has been known to be a lucky lipstick... If you catch my drift. 'Nuff said.

4. Rimmel London Glam Eyes Professional Liquid Liner (Black)

As you can see from this photo of me with my dog Buddy, I am a MASSIVE fan of the 'winged out' or 'cat flick' eyeliner...

Imagine this product as a little like Angelina Jolie's eyes in a bottle... That good.
This product is really inexpensive for the quality, both me and a friend of mine use it to do flicks of eyeliner on a daily basis and I have been using it for years and repurchasing it. I have finally managed to master how to do it without stretching my eyelid (I finally feel like a woman) which I believe is down to this eyeliner being so straightforward, rather than my own skills to my dismay.

5. MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation Spf 15

Yes, I'm an NW 15, it's cool to be pale, right?

Okay, so I didn't want to be that girl that writes a beauty blog and just raves about everything MAC does. I do like MAC; they have good quality products, but as a poor student I feel that I should be representing the majority of people who just can't afford it, because I certainly can't. However, this is a really good foundation and I want to be honest about my favourites so here it is. It is a dewy, medium coverage foundation that can be built up if needed. I only use a tiny bit of this and it looks nice, not too matte, and I have dry skin so it makes my face look fresh and not dry and gross (in my opinion anyway). It is in the region of £24, but it lasts a long time which is its redeeming feature. When I can I will buy this foundation because it is rather good.

That's it really.
